We offer a Retreat-style art programme that combines
teaching by qualified Instructors, independent work time,
and exploring the region for inspiration by the local culture.
Our Retreat is suitable for groups of seven up to fourteen participants.

Where

Tuscany or Sicily

What

The programme can accommodate sketching, drawing, watercolour, oil and acrylic painting, as well as photography . Special themes may be developed upon request.

When

Seven (7) nights. The programme is best suited to take place during spring (March to June) or autumn (September to November).

Participant numbers

We can facilitate two group sizes:  A smaller group of seven (7) participants, or alternatively, a larger group with a minimum of ten (10) and maximum of fifteen (15) participants.  Partners/friends/spouses are welcome to join at a non-participant cost and in consultation with the Instructor.

Accommodation

In Tuscany, lodging is provided at Fattoria Villa Bacio just outside the medieval town of Certaldo, where it is situated on a dominant hill with breathtaking views.

In Sicily, lodging is provided at Villa Salinara on the southwestern part of the island near Marsala, with a variety of scenic painting spots in the surrounding area.

Meals

Breakfast and dinners are included and will be freshly prepared by the Villa.

Field trips

Field trips to artistic and cultural places of interest will be included in the programme.

Services included

Payment and Cancellation Policy

A deposit is requested at time of booking. The balance of payment is due one month before the start of the retreat.

  1. Cancellation by Participant – Participants will have 50% of the deposit refunded, provided that notice of cancellation is made 30 days at 12:00 pm CET before the start of the retreat. If made between 30 days at 12:00 pm CET and the start date of the retreat, there will be a refund of 50% of the payment made in full.
  2. Cancellation by La Meridiana – Participants must know that cancellations may occur due to events beyond our control (e.g. medical or family issues, insufficient numbers for the retreat). When booking travel (air, train, etc.), cancellation insurance is therefore highly recommended. Insurance can often be purchased at the same time as the travel ticket, from a travel agent, or from an independent agent. Should the retreat be cancelled by La Meridiana-Art, participants will be fully reimbursed.
